Riobamba

Imported Verbands Premium 16.1 hand Oldenburg mare by Loewenstein out of Ristona (Ramzes/Landgraf). Riobamba has been our foundation mare. Although she is bred to produce movement her sire was for many years the top jumper stallion in Germany and all of her babies inherited his talent to jump.

Presented to the RPSI at the age of 19 she still exhibited her fabulous gaits and incredible schwung thus being granted Elite status and having her Premium Mare status continued. Riobamba has been retired to our daughter's farm since October 2007 where she has happily joined Applause.

Risque's last foal

Risque'

Our most prolific - and at 15.2 hands our smallest - broodmare and daughter of Riobamba, she has produced 12 foals to-date and every single one of them has gone Premium giving this Abundance grand-daughter Elite and Premium Mare status with multiple German registries.

Eleven of her foals are over 16.3 hands; one of them is 15.3; ALL of them are correct with exceptional movement and easy, trainable temperaments - just like their mom.

It was with great sadness that we euthanized Risque' in the fall of 2006. Her long fight with founder finally became to much for this brave little mare and she told us it was time to let go. She is buried at ASHEMONT FARM .

Rhapsody in Bay

Rhapsody in Bay

By Pikör out of Risque' she is 17.1 hands, is 2nd generation breeding on both sides and was registered - and awarded Premium status - by both the ISR/Oldenburg NA and the German Oldenburg Verband.

Rhapsody has won multiple Championships in-hand as well as under saddle and Materiale. She is approved for breeding as a Premium Mare with RPSI. Additionally she has scored 70's in dressage and is an outstanding jumper. The RPSI inspectors called her "the ideal that we should be breeding for" and took photos of her back to Germany to show to German breeders as an example!

Mascotte (deceased)

This 16.3 hand seal brown imported Belgian Warmblood has Black Sky and Gotthard on the top with Ramiro Z and Lugano Van La Roche on the bottom bringing some new lines to our breeding program.

It must be a good combination because Mascotte was already competing at PSG in dressage before being imported as a 6 year old. She then changed careers and enjoyed success doing Preliminary Jumpers on the FL circuit before being retired as a broodmare and producing Premium foals.

Our first foal by AB Phoenix arrived June 21, 2005. She's very refined and feminine. Sadly Mascotte fractured her shoulder and despite heroic efforts she could not be saved. She was an exceptional mare and leaves us her incredible filly AB Mehru .

AB Mehru

A lovely leggy filly foaled 6/21/05 by AB Phoenix  out of the imported FEI dressage/Preliminary jumping BWP Black Sky mare, Mascotte. Mehru is a black bay with a no markings; she is sweet and friendly just like her mom - and just like mom she has the movement for dressage but loves to run and jump. She is extremely intelligent and brave yet sensitive and eager to please. With wonderful angles and movement, this filly has the conformation to excel at any discipline and the pedigree to back it up.

Mehru was registered and branded RPSI with a foal score of 8.0 for a GOLD PREMIUM! She is one of only two registered fillies by AB Phoenix, the only licensed son of Pikör. Phoenix has since been gelded and is now a fancy driving horse. We are just starting her but it looks like Mehru will be stepping into harness next to her dad. What a pair they will be!

April Fest (TB)

After 3 unremarkable years on the track, from which she retired clean-legged and sound, April began her second career as a broodmare. She produced a Premium Oldenburg foal prior to coming to ASHEMONT where she produced two Gold Premium RPSI fillies.

Still only 8 years old April was just not ready to settle down so she was sold and is now happily and successfully pursuing her third career as an eventer.

Applause

This lovely daughter by the Hanoverian stallion Absolute out of a well-bred TB mare with her sweet temperament and wonderful work ethic was a welcome addition to our broodmare band when she injured her stifle and had to be retired from a successful dressage career, having won several championionships.

Unfortunately her bad luck continued and a difficult birth made her a less than desireable broodmare candidate. But not before giving us the absolutely sweetest, most easy-going and cooperative filly ever born, AB Amarkette (Amy) by our stallion Welt Marke.

Applause is enjoying semi-retirement as a pleasure horse and pasture companion to an older gelding.
